i was diagnosed with "ovarian cancer" in 04, and i am now in remission. it was germ cell tumor, pnet, sarcoma, teratoma and yolk sac tumor all in my ovary. it's very rare, so i was wondering if anyone heard of it? they say i have 11% 5 yr survival rate. what does that mean? that i only have 11% chance of living past 5 yrs or making it to 5 yrs? please help me understand!

Okay...Last year was my first time every going to a tanning bed. I had a good experience and I never burned or anything..
Well recently I began to tan again...
Ive only gone FOUR times and on the third time I began to itch like no other...
I then found 3 brownish spots under my chest...
I didnt know if that was normal or not...
But I went again anyways...
I now have the 3 spots...and 2 extra on my stomach...
I looked up "skin cancer" and pictures

I have been having some bleeding/spotting after intercourse, pelvic pressure and daily menstrual cramping for a few months now so I went to the doctor this morning. I explained what was going on and she said before she even examined me that she will probably give me an antibiotic, didn't say why. She swabbed my cervix with a q-tip and that alone made it bleed so there is obviously a problem

Why is the HSE's cancer care system with its "centres of excellence" such a joke?

Last time I had cancer, the local "cancer centre" was Letterkenny, 62km away.
I've relapsed. Letterkenny is now a "satellite" that does some things under supervision from its "parent centre", but I had to go to GALWAY which is 306km away for surgery, and rely on a volunteer from a local charity to make the 10 hour round trip to pick me up and take me home when I was released.
