What are "dead cancer cells"?

My bro in law had an endoscopy this weekend, and they found a hernia and dead cancer cells. They said they're going to check his bowel (with a colonoscopy) to make sure they haven't originated elsewhere but didn't really tell him what dead cancer cells are in the first place.

Answer by FlatpawCancer cells that are dead. A cell is living tissue, but it can be killed.
