stomach cancer question?

a few days ago my dad my dad had to go in to surgery not a real surgery but they put a camera in him to see whats wrong, i have come to a suspicion that he has stomach cancer

reasons
1) he told my uncles but he didnt tell them in English he wanted to hid it from us kids my siblings,
2)stomach cancer is also called gastric cancer, he went to a gastric specialist about two days ago
