Question by katydid: Is thyroid surgery considered major or minor surgery?
My endocrinologist has recommended surgery for a 6mm nodule on my thyroid. My blood tests are all inconclusive and "murky" and the fine-needle biopsy was also inconclusive. My current risk of cancer is considered less than 20% at this time.
I will see a surgeon later this month to have the nodule and half of my thyroid removed. I was debating with someone earlier today and was wondering... Obviously, this is a
